Festive Food Hacks

Christmas usually entails copious amounts of food consumption. Whether it’s a roast, a pie or something entirely different for your family, one thing is for sure, we’re all going to be eating more than usual this Christmas.

Whilst we are and always will be fans of the traditional roast (who doesn’t love a roast), we wanted to experiment with some traditionally festive flavours and our frozen food products.

Some turned out OK, some were pure genius. Have a look at our top 2 creations below and let us know if you’ll be trying them yourself!

A royally festive naan kebab roll

This one has to be our favourite. After all, it contains kebabs, naan, chutney and roasties… yes, really. Who would have thought roast potatoes would taste EPIC in a kebab roll?

Follow the steps below to try it yourself:

  1. Pre-cook your Chicken Jahan Kebabs (we recommend frying them slightly in a non-stick pan for some extra crisp)
  2. Place your readymade naan of choice on a flat surface, heated as per instruction
  3. Spread a small amount of cranberry sauce on the naan
  4. Place 2/3 cooked kebabs on top of the cranberry sauce
  5. Add fried onions, roasties (we recommend smashing them slightly) sage and onion stuffing crumble and a drizzle of mint yogurt
  6. Roll it all up and voila, you have your own festive naan kebab to enjoy

Santa heads to the deep south

Southern Fried chicken paired with creamy brie and sweet cranberry. Honestly, we couldn’t think of a better festive sandwich than this one. Try it for yourself at home.

Follow these steps:

  1. Cook Jahan southern fried strips (4 is ideal in a sandwich) as per instructions
  2. Using bread of choice, butter both pieces and place to one side
  3. Cut up some creamy brie
  4. Spread cranberry sauce or jelly to one piece of bread and place your cut brie on top
  5. Add chicken strips
  6. Add rocket leaves on top of chicken and place bread slice on creation
  7. Cut as you wish and enjoy wholeheartedly.
